Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.               Philippians 4:6-7

At some point in the 90’s I heard a phrase that stuck with me, “Put it in a bubble and blow it away.” Simply put, LET IT GO. Wow! As a younger version of myself, I had a harder time letting things go. That saying became my motto for years to come. As I have matured and grown in the Lord, it is getting easier, but He is always working on us isn’t He.

Recently that old saying from the 90’s hit me as I reflected on my prayer life. When I pray, I know that Lord not only hears my prayers and cares about them, but He desires for me to have His peace as I hand them over to Him. However, sometimes….. more than I care to admit I find myself worrying and fretting about the very things I just handed over to Him…not letting them go.

My goal is to become more intentional with my prayer time. As I pray, I will put my concerns, needs, worries, fears and everything else in a bubble and blow them away to my heavenly father who knows just what to do with them, and I will trust that He’s got this.
